Spring Break Vacation- Day 2

The next day we drove out to Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry south of Price. This is a quarry where they have found the most dino bones in one concentrated area in the entire world! There is several theories as to why all of these bones are here, but nothing concrete. To most, it is a mystery! The 2 small buildings are where most of the bones were dug out of. It is quite amazing!
Kolton inside of the quarry building
Kolton next to a Stegosaurs spike. Steggies are his favorite! He was sucking up all of the information like a sponge!!
My 2 strong boys holding up a giant rock!
Next, we drove through Buckhorn Wash
We first saw a pictograph panel on the beautiful red rocks. The panel was quite large.
This a Dinosaur track. It is very detailed. When not filled with rain water- you can see the pads that were on the bottom of the foot. It was pretty awesome!
Then we drove to Wedge overlook. It overlooks the Little Grand Canyon. It was beautiful.
I was terrified of the kids going to close to the edge though!
Lastly that day we drove into Castledale, Utah. There we visited two museums. The Museum of the San Rafael and the Castledale Pioneer museum. Here the kids are sitting in some old school desks at the pioneer museum.
We end the day back at the hotel in Price, Utah swimming some more!!
